California Service Corps, the largest service organization in the country, brought us on to reimagine how it recruits, and to reach the communities its outreach had been missing.

The Challenge

Where it STARTED.

The hardest question wasn't “how do we advertise?” It was: what does a service-oriented career pathway look like for candidates who don't usually see themselves in it?, with real urgency around reaching African American and Latino communities, and young men in particular.

What We Did

The APPROACH.

  1. 01

    Reframed recruitment around belonging, building outreach and enrollment campaigns for audiences the category routinely overlooks, with focused urgency on male recruitment.

  2. 02

    Created in-language, culturally relevant creative across video and digital so the opportunity reads as built for them, not adapted to them.

  3. 03

    Developed a Sonic ID so the program is recognized in sound across every touchpoint.

The Outcome

An ongoing partnership (since July 2025) rebuilding how the country's largest service corps recruits the communities it had been missing.
